ANESTHESIA FOR THE DENTAL PATIENT

Course Description:
The dentistry patient can present unique anesthetic challenges from concurrent disease processes that
must be managed to proper pain control techniques. This day of lecture and hands on wet lab will give
participants the opportunity to learn about anesthesia drug selection, regional anesthesia techniques,
managing co-morbidities, monitoring troubleshooting and post operative care.

8am-9am:  Anesthesia Drug Selection
9am-10am: Anesthesia Considerations for Patients with Heart Disease and Kidney Disease
10am-11am: Anesthesia Monitoring
11am-12pm: Post operative Monitoring and Pain Control Techniques
12pm-1pm: LUNCH
1pm-4pm: Hands on Cadaver Lab covering landmarks and drug selection for regional anesthesia
